Orlando, Florida: Day Seventeen

I forget to write this post as it was a busy travel day.

Today was our last day!!!! It was very sad.

We woke up at 4AM to go to the airport. I had about 5 hours of sleep so I slept on the one hour drive to the airport. I also slept almost the whole plane ride which was great! (The flight was almost 4 hours and e flew back to Grand Forks.) I also found that I liked this flight a lot better than the first one; I didn't feel as sick. A great answer to prayers!

Once we had landed and had gotten all of our luggage into our vehicle, we drove to Target to pick up groceries. Then we drove to Pizza Ranch for lunch where Olivia served us all (it was a buffet).

Grandma and Grandpa drove home after lunch while our family went to Scheels. Only Dad, Olivia, Jacob, and I went in (Sophia wasn't feeling 100% and Mom stayed in the vehicle with her). We played some games and then picks up drinks from Starbucks for the ride home.

We then drove 2 hours to get home. It was a safe, and very fun trip! I am so thankful to be able to go on vacation like this. I can't wait for the next time we travel!

Breakfast: At the house - banana, toast, milk
Lunch: Pizza Ranch in Grand Forks - pizza, cheese pizza sticks, root beer, fries, dessert pizza, ice cream
Supper: At home - grilled cheese sandwiches, water

In the afternoon, we picked up lunch and relaxed around the pool.

Orlando, Florida: Day Fifteen

Today the plan was for us all to go to Blizzard Beach. But then we pulled up and they were closed due to technical difficulties. So we decided to go mini golfing at Winter Summerland again. This time, we did the summer course (it's all right beside Blizzard Beach) instead. And also, we switched teams. Me, Sophia, Mom, and Dad were a team, and Grandma, Grandpa, Olivia, and Jacob were a team. Olivia got 3 holes-in-one today, and I got one!!

After mini golfing, we picked up lunch and went back to the house to relax around the pool all afternoon. Some of us have been playing Keep it Up throughout this trip, and today we set our highest record at 125!!

In the evening, we went for supper and then to the outlets.

Breakfast: At the house - buns with jam, milk
Lunch: Chick-fil-A at the house - chicken burger, banana, iced coffee, or age juice, chips
Supper: Texas Roadhouse - mini hamburgers, buns, fries, rice, lemonade

Orlando, Florida: Day Fourteen

Today we all went to Epcot. As soon as the park opened, we went straight to Test Track. That's my only "must" ride. The others I'd be fine with skipping if that meant more time in the countries (Soarin' is shut down for reme bastions otherwise that's my #1 ride at Epcot). The rest of my family really enjoy the other rides, and I like them too, but I would just rather have more time in each country instead. We went on Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth and the Finding Nemo ride. Then we walked around the countries. Again, I would love to spend more time in those than we do. We watched an a cappella group sing in the USA pavilion, and also a really amazing balancing act in the France pavilion. The Canada one seemed to sell a lot of food and stuff that we've never heard of. There seemed to be a lot of Quebec and First Nations things. I liked those things, I just wish there would be other things representing the other provinces or nationalities.

In the afternoon, we picked up lunch and then relaxed around the pool.

In the evening, we went for supper at Downtown Disney, and then went back to Epcot to watch the fireworks and lights show. It was very good!

Breakfast: At the house - toast, scrambled eggs, orange juice
Lunch: Jimmy John's at the house - Slim One (ham and cheese), orange juice, orange
Supper: Splitsville at Downtown Disney - meat lovers, and pepperoni and bacon pizza, root beer

Orlando, Florida: Day Thirteen

Today was Mom's 39th birthday!!

We all went out for breakfast, then mini golfing at Winter Summerlamd which is right beside Blizzard Beach. We chose to do the winter course instead of the summer one. It was very fun! Everybody got at least one hole-in-one on the last one (except for mom) but it was an easy one. Aegeeybody except me and Olivia got at least one more on other holes. Grandma, Grandpa, Sophia, and I were a team (called ourselves the BEES (Betty, Edmer, Emma, Sophia) and buzzed and turned in circles and flapped our hands like wings when someone on our team got a hole-in-one).

We then picked up lunch and went back to the house where we relaxed by the pool all afternoon.

In the evening, we gave Mom her presents, then went out for supper (which was suuuuuper good), then rode the Orlando Eye which was, I'll admit, a little nerve wracking if you stood near the edge of the cart, but it was supper cool.

After that, we went back to house, and ate some leftover Krispy Kreme donuts.

Breakfast: Cracker Barrel - French toast, milk, scrambled eggs, sausage
Lunch: Chick-fil-A at the house - chicken burger, iced coffee, orange
Supper: Charly's Steakhouse - steak done medium well, HUGE fries, buns (veeeery good), Pepsi

We also spent a lot of time in the wave pool, and in the end in the lazy river (Sophia leafing as always; this time with Olivia in the back as a motor). We also got some mini donuts while we were there.

After the water park, we picked up lunch and went back to the house to relax around the pool for the afternoon.

In the evening, we went out for supper, and then shopping at the outlets (I got some fake nails, and some Lindt chocolates). Then we picked up Krispy Kreme and went back to the house.

Supper: Texas Roadhouse - mini hamburgers, fries, buns, lemonade, peanuts

Orlando, Florida: Day Eleven

Today we (everyone except Grandma and Grandpa) went to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Dad, Sophia, and I separated from Mom, Jacob, and Olivia right away, and we went straight to Rock and Rollercoaster standby. We didn't wait very long there. Then we went to the Tower of Terror standby. Then we met up with the others and got in the standby line for Rock and Rollercoaster but left soon after because it was too long and we needed to use our Tower of Terror fastspsses soon. Mom, Jacob, and Olivia decided to not go on Tower of Terror so Dad, Sophia, and I took their wristbands and went on it without them. Then we used our own wristbands to go again. We ending up riding Tower of Terror 3 times today! Then we all used our fastspsses on Rock and Rollercoaster. Then we walked through this "One Man's Dream" thing where it had a bunch of displays of all that Walt Disney did and about him. From there we went into a theatre to watch a longer "The Jungle Book" preview (live action based on the animated classic). It was really good! Then we watched the Indiana Jones stunt show which was really cool! We also got some Mickey Mouse revels while we were watching the show.

After that, we picked up lunch, went back to the house, and then relaxed around the pool all afternoon.

In the evening, we went out for supper and shopped in the Orlando Eye area.

Breakfast: At the house - toast, milk
Lunch: Chick-fil-A at the house - chicken burger, orange juice, Doritos, and later a root beer by the pool

I forgot again to do a post yesterday.

After Magic Kingdom, we picked up lunch and brought it back to the house where we ate and relaxed around the pool for the rest of the afternoon.

In the evening, we went out for supper, shopped around a bit at the store inside the restaurant, and then went back to the house. I read for a good majority of the day.

Breakfast: At the house - toast, orange juice
Lunch: Jimmy John's at the house - Slim One (a ham and cheese sub sandwich), Pringles, orange juice
Supper: Cracker Barrel - fried chicken tenderloins, fries, Pepsi, schnetja (which were called tea biscuits here) with jam

Orlando, Florida: Day Nine

I forgot to post for yesterday, so I'm posting it today.

Yesterday we went to Legoland. Dad said, "there's always one day on the trip that if we could do it over, we would; today is that day." That is true. I felt like it was a glorified Tinkertown. But I think families with boys ages 4-10 would enjoy it. The garden was beautiful there though, Mom and I took lots of pictures.

After Legoland, we went out for lunch, and then back to the house to relax around the pool for the rest of the afternoon.

In the evening, we went out for supper, and then to the outlets.

Breakfast: At the house - toast, orange juice
Lunch: Chick-fil-A - chicken burger, fries, Pepsi
Supper: Buffalo Wild Wings - traditional sweet bbq wings, fries, root beer

Orlando, Florida: Day Eight

Today was a relaxing day at the house. Dad went to pick up Grandma and Grandpa from their cruise this morning, and the rest of us slept in. We basically lay around the pool all day until the evening.

In the evening, we went to Downtown Disney (which is now actually called Disney Springs). We ate supper there, and then walked around and shopped a bit. I got a souvenir for my best friend, and also a Donald Duck stuffed animal for myself (I've gotten one the last couple times we've come - I have Mickey and Minnie at home).

After that, we picked up some Krispy Kreme on the way back to the house. We ate our donuts, and then went to bed.

Breakfast: At the house - oatmeal, toast, milk
Lunch: Chick-fil-A at the house - chicken burger, orange, chocolate milk, Reese's peanut butter cup Oreo
Supper: Splitsville at Downtown Disney - pasta, garlic bread, Pepsi, a sliver of Mom's pizza

Orlando, Florida: Day Seven

Today was Grandma and Grandpa's third day on their cruise; they will be coming back tomorrow.

The rest of us went to Epcot. We went on Test Track first, then Sum of all Thrills where we made our own roller coasters, then the Finding Nemo ride which we had fast passes for, then we walked around the World Showcase where unfortunately the Norway ride was closed but the Mexican Donald one wasn't so we rode that, then we rode Living of the Land or Land of the Living (depends on who you ask in my family). At some point in there we tasted different countries' versions of Coke.

After Epcot, we picked up McDonalds for lunch (Chick-fil-A was closed because it's Sunday), and went back to the house where we relaxed around the pool and swam for the rest of the afternoon.

We then went for supper, and then to the outlets. I got a pair of pajama shorts, and bought a souvenir for my friend. Then we went back to the house.

Breakfast: At the house - toast, milk
Lunch: McDonalds at the house - McChicken burger, Apple slices, chocolate milk, Yodels
Supper: Chili's - grilled cheese sandwich, pepperoni pizza, cheese quesadilla, chocolate milk, fries

Orlando, Florida: Day Six

Today was Grandma and Grandpa's second day on their cruise. The rest of my family went to Magic Kingdom. We all went on the Seven Dwarves Mine (Train?) first and waited an hour in line for it. Then the girls and guys separated. We (the girls) went on the Winnie the Pooh ride, then The Little Mermaid ride, and It's a Small World.

After that, went went to the castle for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where Sophia and Olivia (I was too old this year) got their hair, makeup, and nails done. The hair was the main thing; they got a Cinderella bun on the top of their heads (with tons of gunk !!) with a small tiara, and a Mickey Mouse clip at the back of their heads.

After the boutique, we went up in the castle for lunch where the princesses came and took picture with us.

After lunch, we used our fast passes on Peter Pan's Flight. It had started raining just before Bibbidi-Bobbidi, so all of the outdoor rides had closed, which meant we couldn't use our fast passes for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Splash Mountian. So Mom switched our fast passes to the Winnie the Pooh ride, and the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Then we went to ride The Little Mermaid ride again. After that, we went to the Winnie the Pooh ride to use our fast passes but it was shut down due to technical difficulties. Luckily, the thunder and lightning had stopped, so the outdoor rides were open again. So we rushed to Splash Mountain and only waited about 20 minutes in the stand-by line. Unfortunately, we couldn't switch our fast passes back for Splash Mountain so we could only ride it twice.

Then we went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which we also couldn't get fast passes for, so we waited about 30 minutes in line. Then we went on the Pirates of the Caribbean and used our fast passes for it.

Dad and Jacob had gone back to the house around 11:30AM so they came and picked us up after we were done around 4:30PM.

We came back to the house and relaxed inside for a bit. Then we went for supper, made a quick stop at Target, then went back to the house for night.

Breakfast: At the house - toast, milk
Lunch: Cinderella's Royal Table - chicken fingers, rice, corn, lemonade punch, chocolate cake with berries on top
Supper: Longhorn's Steakhouse - sirloin steak (medium well), French fries, orange slices, Pepsi

Orlando, Florida: Day Five

Today we woke up at 8AM and then went out for breakfast. After that, Dad dropped Mom, Sophia, Olivia, Jacob, and I off at Blizzard Beach before dropping Grandma and Grandpa off at their three-day cruise.

At Blizzard Beach, we went straight to the Purple Slopes and rode the Downhill Dipper (or something like that) which is usually one of the busiest lines all day. Then we went on a slide with the purple mats, and then on the racing-purple-mat slide. Then we went to the family raft and rode it once. Then to the wave pool where we jumped around in the water stupidly for a solid 20 minutes. After that, we went on the Runoff Rapids which are the enclosed or open slides that have a tube. Then we went on the family raft again, and then finished off on the Lazy River (Sophia leading in a double tube with Jacob behind her being the motor). We ate mini donuts before Dad picked us up.

After Dad picked us up, we went back to the house to eat lunch and relax and swim for the rest of the afternoon. I got majorly sunburned today, and so did almost everybody else.

We the went for supper, and then to Downtown Disney where we walked around a bit, went in one store where Mom and Dad got some shoes, and got some Starbucks drinks.

After that, we went back to house, dropped off Mom, Jacob, and Olivia, and then went to Publix to get some groceries. Then we came back to the house.

Breakfast: iHop - pancakes, strawberries, scrambled eggs, bacon, milk
Lunch: At the house - leftover pizza from Giordano's, half of a burger from McDonalds, chocolate milk
Supper: Carrabba's - pasta, chicken fingers, Pepsi
